4. International Agreement for the Acquisition of Software Maintenance (IAASM) – is an agreement that describes the terms and conditions under which software maintenance is provided. Based on the maintenance contract, the customer receives information about error elimination, program updates and technical support. IBM models such as BladeCenter Extension (zBX) Model 004 and IBM zEnterprise™ BladeCenter Extension (zBX) models 002 and 003 have certain features that contain separately licensed code. Feature 0612, Power Blade Enablement, Contains the IBM Virtual I/O Server license code in accordance with the attached license agreement. 6. Enterprise Licensing Agreement (ELA) is a multi-year contract in which expenses are allocated in monthly, quarterly or annual payments. The software is licensed per month per capacity and there are no purchase fees. Software costs are estimated jointly by the customer and IBM over the ELA period.
Proof of authorization is a document or set of data that was only provided to you after the purchase of a software license. In addition to the private PoE that only you receive, there is also the Public Proof of Entitlement data, which represents all the authorization details that are part of your agreement, but which are not publicly displayed on the IBM website and are generally available to all IBM customers. Licensed Information Document – contains additional program-specific information and terms that apply to certain software announced or released after May 1999. Order Document (OD) – contains the details of the end user, the name of the agreement that governs the purchase, the products purchased, the quantity, license metrics and level, the fees paid for the licenses and the terms of purchase. Regardless of the manufacturer of the software, certain general rules apply with regard to proof of authorization: 9. Proof of Entitlement Certificate (PoE) – is a document sent by IBM to all its customers after purchasing the software to confirm the authorized products and the degree of use for which they are authorized, and this is the official proof of the merits. It contains important order information such as customer number, location number, and order number, and is proof of permission for version or release updates as part of software subscriptions, warranties, and pricing for future upgrade programs. A PoE is created for new customer orders or when purchasing additional permissions. 5.
International Passport Advantage/ Passport Advantage Express Agreements (IPAA) – are contracts between IBM and customers for the acquisition of a combined software license, software subscription and support, IBM Appliances and IBM SaaS subscriptions. As part of passport advantage agreements, IBM offers the customer the ability to obtain permissions to use, update, and support certain programs at volume prices.
